Stella is an executive business professional, with over 25 years of work experience, acquired from various institutions. She is currently working as Director of Investment Promotion and Facilitation at the Malawi Investment and Trade Centre, where she is responsible for investment promotion and facilitation. Before assuming her current role, she worked in various managerial and leadership positions for Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce (MCCCI), Afrox Malawi Limited, Banja La Mtsogolo, The Times Group and The Press Group locally. Internationally, she worked for Staples Business Advantage and PerkinElmer in Massachusetts, USA. She is the current Deputy Chairperson of the SADC Investment Sub Committee and sits on the boards of Innovate Africa, Bluewaves Energy Limited and Lilongwe Golf Club.

Stella is an expert in the fields of Business Development, Marketing, Strategic Management, Data Analytics, Project Management, and Investment Promotion and Facilitation whose mandate is to support the creation of favourable environment for investments in the region, Malawi included, and foster regional integration.

Stella holds of an MBA in International Business, with a specialization in Sustainability, acquired from Brandeis University International Business School, USA and Bachelor of Business Administration acquired from University of Malawi. She also holds a certificate in Investment Facilitation for Sustainable Development acquired from UNCTAD’s Executive IPA College. Professionally, she is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing-UK and Institute of Marketing Malawi.
