About TchaFavour Cakes and Kitchen
Charity Shome is not a novice in business. She has tried a number of businesses, one after another; she has failed and started all-over again. She has tried selling clothes, groceries, and catering for weddings.
“I used to do cross border business. I would bring in clothes from Tanzania and groceries from Zambia and sold on credit to my customers. The business was running smoothly until in one particular month my customers ruined my business. Most of them did not pay. That brought my business down. I was forced to stop.
“I needed a different type of business. Selling on cash! Therefore, in 2021 I started a catering business. In 2023, I was operating from home delivering to my customer in town. However, it became unsustainable due to very high delivering costs. Therefore, I stopped again. Later I found this place and started again combining a restaurant and catering services.

Revival of My Business
Charity came to FinanceRite to top-up her operating capital.
In her restaurant and catering business, it is essential to have most of the foodstuffs stocked up. With all the foodstuffs in stock, she can focus of serving her customers. It is easy to plan her day and meet the demand.
“In this business it is difficult to be going to the market every day. It makes time management challenging but also there is the risk that some foodstuff may not be available at the market on a particular day.
“So it is prudent to buy everything needed, say for a week, in advance.
“I needed to increase my capital to be able to stock up supplies. So the loan I got from FinanceRite helped me alot. After four months I paid back and came back for a second loan to increase my capital The second loan has also helped me a lot. My business is growing and demanding a lot.
